The Barboa Family are life long New Mexico residents and have been hunting big game animals in New Mexico for many generations. Owner, Mark Barboa was born and raised in the Land of Enchantment. Mark's experience and knowledge of hunting in the New Mexico terrain was a skill he learned from his father who taught him the importance of a skillful hunter and the ethics that comes with that responsibility. Mark has teamed up with Paul Barboa his nephew who is a very experienced hunter and has hunted and guided hunters in some of New Mexico's most beautiful mountain ranges . Paul also started hunting at a very young age who's father had him archery hunting big game at the age 10. Both Mark and Paul's passion is hunting and want to share their love for it with you, making your hunt a hunt you will never forget.
Most of Our Elk Hunts take place in the Gila National Forest and surrounding areas. We hunt all seasons which include Archery , Muzzleloader and Rifle season. Most of our hunts take place on public land in some of the best units New Mexico has to offer. The units we hunt have and still do produce B&C record book bulls. Our archery elk hunts are super fun with a lot of action with bugling rutting bulls. These Archery hunts take place in September . We offer 8 day hunts . Our rifle and muzzleloader hunts take place in mid October and will have some rutting and bugling activity. New Mexico also offers great opportunities for youth hunters that have early October dates which make for a great experience for any youth hunter . There is also some great late season elk hunts that are exceptional hunts with some awesome spot and stalk opportunities, but are more physical and can be challenging. New Mexico is an amazing place to hunt elk and we would love to hunt with you!

Bullbuster outfitters offers Mule deer hunts in some of New Mexico's best deer units. Our hunts all take place on public land and are limited draw units. The hunts we provide can vary in different hunting terrains from high country in tall Pines to lower elevation with pinon and juniper. Rifle , Muzzleloader and Bow hunts are available and can apply for what suits you the best. Our Rifle hunts start in late October through mid-November. Muzzleloader hunts can vary depending on the units but usually start early October. The Archery hunts have two seasons. First, is early season and starts September 1-24 when the bucks are still in velvet. Next, is the late hunt which takes place during the rut in most of our southern units from January 1-15. This hunt has more action. The bucks are chasing does and can be a blast for spot and stalk hunting. New Mexico also has some awesome youth hunts for deer that are usually action packed with many shot opportunities for a trophy class buck.
Our Antelope Hunts take Place all across the Prairies of Northern and Southern New Mexico. New Mexico has some of the best Antelope hunting in all the Western States. These hunts are usually action packed with multiple shot opportunities. Mostly all spot and stalk which makes for a very exciting hunt. We provide both draw hunts and hunts with landowner permits. We offer Archery , Muzzleloader and Rifle hunts.
Bullbuster Outfitters Oryx Hunts are one of the most exciting desert hunts there is in New Mexico. Introduced in the early 70's, the oryx were released on White Sands Missile Range. Over the years, good management through hunts that take place on range, the Oryx have a healthy herd and can be hunted on a draw , Once in a Lifetime hunt. The hunt takes place on White Sands and are usually 3 day hunts. The On Range hunts are extremely fun with a lot of shot opportunities with very high success kill rate. Typically an average Oryx horns length will be around 34-37" with a few Oryx that can reach close to 40".
New Mexico also offers Off-range hunts that take place outside the missile range on public land. These hunts are month long hunts and can apply for any months you choose. We can arrange the amount of days you want to hunt.
Hunters can experience a taste of Africa only found here in New Mexico. Tags have to be drawn through the state, but if drawn it's a hunt of a lifetime .

New Mexico Barbary sheep hunts are some of the best free range sheep hunting there is across the southwest. Aoudad are native to north Africa and were introduced in New Mexico in the 1950's. Like Africa the barbary sheep have adapted to the dry, rough desert terrain here in New Mexico. These hunts can be challenging with a lot of miles with boots on the ground. Spot and stalk is the way we hunt these majestic sheep. A lot of time will be spent behind the glass, picking apart the rough desert country. We hunt public land and is 100% free range for these sheep. These are draw hunts through the state and take place from late October and go through the end of February;. While hunting Sheep hunters should arrive in great shape in order to deal with the rugged terrain and long hikes experienced on these hunts. Also, it is good to know your rifle and be confident with your set up and be able to shoot some long distances 300-500 yards.
These Hunts take place in the Florida Mountains in Southern New Mexico. The Mountains are extremely rugged and will push any hunter to there limits. Big deep Rocky Canyons makes for long days of extreme glassing, hiking and will test your physical endurance. The Bezoar Ibex were introduced in New Mexico in the 70's and have grown into a awesome herd. They are 100% free range and the Florida Mountains is the only place to hunt Ibex in the country. These hunts are all spot and stalk and requires top physical shape in order to maneuver through"the Rock" which some locals call this amazing mountain range. This hunt is limited with few tags available and is a once in a lifetime hunt when it comes to rifle hunting. This hunt is extremely tough to draw, but it's one of the best hunts to draw in the country. Rifle , muzzle and bow hunts are available in the draw system , and all require a lot of glassing and planning in order to get into position for a shot.
